Azita Ghanizada

Azita Ghanizada is an Afghan American actress in the United States who has appeared in several television shows. She was born in Kabul, Afghanistan. Her parents moved to the US where they were granted asylum. Ghanizada is the middle child of two siblings and was raised within Northern Virginia. Ghanizada started her career in the television industry by appearing on numerous National Commercials. Ghanizada received a nomination for top actress in the 2004 film festival for her performance in the Laura Neri movie A Kiss on the Nose. The actress was the character Chiara. Some of her television roles are How I Met Your Mother Entourage Veronica Mars NUMB3RS The Wedding Bells NUMB3RS Psych and Castle. Her most recent roles include the role of a supporting character on the show Blood Shot, (2009) inspired by the science-fiction movie Blood Shot and independent comedy You Only Better (2009). In 2008 Ghanizada was added to the cast of the General Hospital prime-time spin-off General Hospital. For season two of Nightshift she played holistic specialist the Dr. Saira Bastra. Ghanizada was cast as Kelly the Prada salesperson on HBO Entourage. In 2009, she joined The Tough Trade pilot from Weeds' creator Jenji Cohan, and executive producer T Bone Burnett.
