Antonietta Collins

Antonietta Tonite Gonzalez-Collins is an American-Mexican sportscaster. She works for ESPN and works as the SportsCenter anchor for news. She joined ESPN in 2016. joined ESPN. She is the child of the journalist on television Maria Antonieta Collins. Antonietta has been bilingual since the age of nine. Her ability was crucial in helping her land her first post as a production assistant for Univision Miami, where she worked with the producers of programs including Nuestra Belleza Latina and Premios Lo Nuestro Premios Juventud. When she was in St. Petersburg, she was then hired to the CBS station to work as a sports journalist. In 2009 she relocated from Texas in the Rio Grande Valley where she became a news correspondent for KNVO TV 48 Univision. Reporting on stories about the issue of immigration and drug trafficking from both sides of Mexico-Texas border, she worked as a reporter for newscasts at 5 p.m. Spanish newscast a anchor and reporter for news at 9 p.m. news in English as well as an anchor for the news at 10:30 p.m. Spanish newscast. Also, she was a substitute for sports anchors and weather forecasters. Deportes 23 is Univision Dallasthe affiliate of Univision Dallas, and she has more responsibility. She wrote pieces on Major League Baseball ALDS ALCS and World Series as well Dallas Cowboys NBA postseason Finals FC Dallas, and Dallas Stars. Eventually, they settled in Mexico City and she was born there on the 22nd of November in 1985. She is younger than her sister. In 1992 her family left Mexico and moved to Miami. In 1992, the couple divorced then shortly thereafter in 1995 she remarried Fabio Fajardo, a naval engineer who passed away in 2006 after suffering from kidney cancer. It was on a holiday in the summer that she lived with her younger sister at Canton Ohio where the older Collins girl had secured the job. Antonietta was a senior in high school who had a vision of how she wanted her future to be like, visited Mount Union University in order to find out if the school suited her. It turned out that she was a fan of the campus as well as the fact that it had the program she desired. After completing her high school education, she enrolled in the university to study media studies. Mark Bergmann was her professor and also the head of WRMU in which she's a part. They had a very close connection. Mark's passion for journalism and confidence in herself encouraged her. She, in turn, tried to meet the standards he set and to not let him down.
